Fishing at Sunrise
When I went to the Outer Banks in April 2023, I found myself on the beach near the Avalon Pier in Kill Devil Hills for sunrise. As I was walking off the beach to ready my drone for a flight, I turned back and saw an older gentleman rigging his lines for a sunrise surf fishing session. He was mostly silhouetted by the rising sun, but I knew if I timed it just right, I could catch him framed out by a wave in the background. This photo is the result of that patience.
