Big Dipper over Bodie Island
Despite being known for stunning visuals of the Milky Way, I found general astrophotography to be just as captivating in the Outer Banks. When I went to the Bodie Island Lighthouse one night well before the Milky Way rose, the first thing I noticed was the Big Dipper up in the sky. It took some maneuvering, but I was eventually able to get this angle - the Dipper’s handle aligned perfectly with the top of the lighthouse.
The photo is printed as a 5x7 and matted to 8x10. Prints are signed and numbered out of four (there are four prints of each photo). Additional details about the print can be found on the back of the photo including print series, number, title and another signature.
